What Is Medical Cannabis
Since 2001, Canadians have been able to access medical cannabis. It can be approved by a health care practitioner to help treat specific types of pain and decrease nausea and vomiting in some people.
The Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulations, or ACMPR, give authorized Canadians the option to buy cannabis from Licensed Producers or grow a small amount for their own personal use. Medical cannabis tends to have a higher concentration of cannabidiol, or CBD – a non-psychotropic compound currently being studied for its medicinal benefits.
If you want to know more about the medical uses of cannabis, talk to your health care practitioner.
