PUROLATOR: Check updates

May 12, 2020

PUROLATOR: As of May 12, 2020, Purolator's Calgary terminal is currently experiencing a backlog. Shipments destined for Red Deer, Lethbridge and Medicine Hat will see a minimum three-day delay. Additionally, Purolator has temporarily suspended ad hoc shipment pickups (i.e., pickups that are not regularly scheduled) within the Calgary region until further notice and the on-site Purolator Shipping Centre is open for curbside pickup only.  Customers are able to pick up doorknocker and Hold for Pickup (HFPU) shipments. Customers are asked to use Purolator's Locator Tool for additional locations to drop off ad hoc shipments.

CANADA POST: As a result of the evolving COVID-19 coronavirus situation, Canada Post has provided the following updates:

  • Proof of Age items at postal outlets have had the normal 15-day hold period suspended. Parcels left at the post office for pickup will not be returned to sender until further notice.
  • Hours of service are reduced, opening one hour later and closing one hour earlier to clean, restock and provide employee relief. For the first hour of each day, priority service will be offered to people at higher risk (the elderly or people with compromised immune systems).
  • All customers are being asked to practice social distancing by spacing themselves 2 metres (6 feet) apart.

If you are feeling ill or self-isolating, delay your visit to the post office and to pick up your parcel only when it’s safe to do so.

March 18, 2020

CANADA POST: Canada Post is advising customers that as a result of potential impacts related to their local facilities and air transportation, they are suspending their On-time Delivery Guarantees for all parcel services, until further notice. This means that some residents and businesses may begin to experience slower than normal delivery times. They thank all customers for their patience and understanding, and will continue to provide updates.
